2) What is the heat resistance of the wooden tongs? We just bought a new convection toaster oven that heats to 450. Answer: You cannot leave the tongs in the oven, but they can be used to remove food from a tray in the oven...they do not replace a pot holder or mitt...I use the tong wood to remove toast or pizza from my oven, or something that has been broiled.

3) Are the tongs dishwasher safe? Answer: No. The high water temperature, drying cycle heat, and chemicals in dishwasher detergents will dry these out. Washing all wooden utensils by hand takes a few seconds and is worth it to keep them in good shape and lasting for years.

4) Could you use these to grab a mini-pizza out of a toaster oven? Answer: Yes, these wood tongs work well for retrieving items from a toaster oven. They've been tested on products weighing more than 1/2 lb and have held up well.
